How does the backer survey work?
By clicking the link “Click here to respond” in the email we send you, you will be taken to the backer survey. The survey will be open until January 31, 2023. You can still update your pledge level at the start of the survey, by clicking the “or Switch your Pledge Level »” link under the big green “Get Started!” button. You can switch your digital reward tier to physical ones, upgrade from the standard books to the deluxe ones, or even go for an All-in Hero Box Series if you wish to become an NPC in Torrents of the Spellhoarder.
After confirming your reward tier, you will need to answer some survey questions - choosing your VTT platform if your reward includes it, or specifying your NPC if you went for the Hero tier.
Next you can choose any of the add-ons we have available. These include all add-ons that were featured on the Kickstarter, as well as additional ones that were unlocked or added later (like the NPC Crowd Deck or the Elderbrain Enamel Pin).
Lastly, will need to add your shipping details and pay for shipping fees and taxes if applicable.

I’m confused. Which reward tier should I choose?
If you are new to Elderbrain’s campaigns and only wish to get the PDFs of the adventures, we suggest the Torrents Digital Digital Bundle and the Digital Bundle Series rewards tiers. If you already have the Crown of the Oathbreaker PDF bundle, we suggest grabbing just the Torrents Digital Bundle goods for all the PDFs of the newest adventure.
If you wish to own the hardcover books, we suggest the Torrents Hardcover and Hardcover Series rewards tiers. If you already have the Crown of the Oathbreaker book on your shelf, we suggest going for the Torrents Hardcover reward tier, unless you wish to get a second edition copy with fixed errata.
If you want to have all accessories for the adventures, the Torrents Deluxe Box and All-in Deluxe Box Series reward tiers have everything you can desire when playing the adventures, including booster cards decks, poster maps, DM screens, custom dice sets, and character sheets. The boxes also contain a limited Kickstarter-exclusive deluxe edition of the books, so even if you already have the Crown of the Oathbreaker book, you will have a second edition deluxe print for your collection.
If you wish to be among the 100 backers immortalized as an NPC in Torrents of the Spellhoarder, the All-in Hero Box Series reward tier offers you the chance to get everything we have to offer and also be a part of the adventure.
If you don’t want to spend on the deluxe boxes, you can get many of their contents as individual add-ons.

Can I change my pledge?
Yes, you can either upgrade or downgrade your pledge. If you choose to downgrade your tier, you will be able to use the extra funds that become available to purchase other add-ons during the survey. However, we cannot offer you a refund for your campaign credits as these funds have already been charged and locked to account for the production of the rewards.

How will my digital rewards be fulfilled?
Digital products will be fulfilled through Backerkit after the campaign and when they become available. They will include all PDFs included in your reward (digital bundles and unlocked stretch goal rewards). We will first fulfill the digital copies of Crown of the Oathbreaker as soon as the second edition becomes available. Next, we will fulfill the digital goods for Torrents of the Spellhoarder (planned for August 2023). All downloads will be available under the downloads section of your Backerkit account.

How will my physical rewards be fulfilled?
Physical products are also finalized on the backer survey and on the Backerkit Pledge Manager. This is where you enter your shipping details and pay for shipping charges, and taxes, where applicable for physical products.
Once the products are ready, we will ship them from our warehouses located in New Jersey and Hungary, using tracked and insured shipping methods. Our estimated delivery date for physical goods is November 2023.

Does my shipping address need to be confirmed before fulfillment?
Yes, it is crucial that you update your shipping information right before your rewards are fulfilled, so in late 2023. Of course, we will notify all backers about the status of the shipments and kindly ask you to update your shipping address before we dispatch your package.

What’s in the Accessory Boxes?
All physical rewards are packaged in their corresponding accessory box. This includes the booster card deck, DM screen, dice set and bag, all posters (cover and sandbox), art prints, sticker sheet, and magnetic bookmarks.
As we have unlocked several stretch goals, the following items will be added to each box: six metallic collector’s cards in each booster card deck, four sets of printed character sheets, and six extra posters (3 encounter and 3 location maps).
The hardcover books (standard or deluxe) and NPC Crowd Deck will not be packaged in either box, they will be separate products alongside the accessory boxes.

How will the NPC portraits be created for my All-in Hero Box Series reward?
We will create a list of all major NPCs in the story and share it with all All-in Hero Box Series backers. This google sheet is included in the survey. You may choose from this list on a first-come-first-served basis. You will need to add a comment to the name of the NPC of your choice. If you see a comment on a name, it is already taken. These characters are the major players in Torrents of the Spellhoarder, and all have very specific roles in the story. (We will mark the few instances where gender might be important.)
Alternatively, you can submit your own ideas on name, description, class, race, background, traits, and even a one-liner quote. We will populate the setting with these NPCs according to the best fit for the locations and the plot.
All portraits are based on photos we receive from backers. If you don’t want your portrait to be based on your likeness, you can certainly let us know, and we will still create the portraits according to your specifications. Please send your photos to [email protected].

Are there physical-only rewards?
Yes, there are a few rewards that are only available as physical goods: the DM screen, cover posters, art prints, dice set and bag, magnetic bookmarks, and sticker sheets. Most other physical rewards include the PDF version of the product.

How are the Character Sheets organized?
The COTO digital character sheet is already finished and is part of all reward tiers that include COTO. The TOTS character sheet will be created since we reached the corresponding stretch goal. The digital version will be included in all TOTS reward tiers, and four sets of printed character sheets will be added to each accessory box as well.

Does the book have a dust jacket?
The books are coated in plastic wrap but don’t come with a separate dust cover. You can order one separately or even make one yourself. The dimensions of the books are standard US book size (8.5 x 11 in.) and the spines are about 0.8 in. for TOTS and 2 in. for COTO.

I’m a retailer interested in your products. What should I do?
We won’t have wholesale options available during the Kickstarter. For non-Kickstarter exclusive products, we will have stock leftover from the campaign, and we will have retailer discounts at that point (late 2023). Our usual policy is a 20% discount on orders of at least 6 books.

Even if you don’t play 5e, both adventures have a ton of resources to use in your own adventure - hundreds of NPCs, scores of dungeon and location maps, over a hundred monsters, and a wide variety and huge range of encounter ideas.

This means that the fulfillment of the rewards will be close to the finish line soon, and there is only one month left to finalize your shipping information. The rewards for the project will ship out in March. This is the last chance for those who haven’t filled in their shipping information on their Backerkit surveys to enter the missing info. Please visit your Backerkit survey and answer the missing questions so you can receive the epic rewards you signed up for. If you moved addresses since the last time you edited your pledge or are planning to move until March, please update your info to the new address. We recommend that even if you are sure that the shipping address is correct, double-check it, since even a small typo can make the delivery fail or take much longer than necessary. Browsers can sometimes automatically fill in the wrong address info, so please correct the address manually. We didn't charge shipping fees on Kickstarter, because knowing the exact address where the package will be sent allows us to calculate the best shipping price available. The downside to this method is that the Backerkit survey is necessary to complete the purchase of all physical items. If you haven’t finalized your order on Backerkit by completing the survey and paying for the shipping, please do so. Otherwise, we won’t be able to send you the rewards we all waited for. How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
